The ABC of Faith
A is for Adonai - Hebrew for Lord. The Supreme Creator Lord

B is for Basiliea - Greek Word for the Kingdom – Kingdom of God

C is for Christos – The Greek word for Christ – the anointed one. “Messiah” in Hebrew. Jesus Christ means the anointed saviour

The preceding keywords carry the key concepts for us as Christians.

We are to live under the Lordship of the our Lord and King. We are to help usher in and extend the kingdom.
In fact “The rule of God is established wherever God's will is obeyed and God's character is manifested." - Gregory Boyd

The next set of ABCs
A stands for “Attitudes” – attitudes is more important than talents. And out attitudes should be like that of Christ – See Phil 2:5-11 humility, and teachable etc. Availability is more important than ability.


B stands for "Behaviours” - The right attitudes will result in right behaviors.

C stands for "Character" – Christ like character is what we seek to emulate.
Instead of complaining we are to praise and bless.
Instead of taking, we should be giving
Instead of hating, we should forgive … etc
